10 Makeup Basics Every Girl Should Have

A well stocked makeup bag can carry you anywhere and I don’t mean it having a barrel load of makeup items in it. Having a few makeup supplies isn’t so bad. My suggestion on makeup for those who aren’t really into all this is “get the ones you mainly need or wouldn’t leave the house without wearing”.

Products

1) Face primer
2) Foundation/powder
3) Brushes
4) Lippies
5) Eyeliner
6) Eyebrow kit, eyebrow pencil
7) Eye shadow kit (light, neutrals, very light colors)
8) Mascara
9) Blush
10) Concealer

Steps

1. Start with a clean face.

2. Moisturize your face.
Try doing this sometime before applying your make up so it gets enough time to fully absorb.

3. Begin applying foundation
Pat foundation in spots you feel you need more coverage, under eye circles (or use concealer), sides of nose, etc. then start blending foundation evenly all over your face and apply more where needed.

4. Apply loose/pressed powered evenly over face

5. Get those eyebrows on fleek.
Use your eyebrow kit or eyebrow pencil to fill in and shape you brows however you want them.

6. All about the eyes.
Avoid using bright colors first time around, remember we’re not pros so use more natural light colors and sweep that sucker across your lids. A little glitter shadow is fine

7. Eyeliner time
If you suck at doing winged eyeliner then I would avoid liquid eyeliners if I were you and use pencil liners. If you’re still not perfect at doing a wing, then jus apply the liner to the bottom of your lid, using your hand to smudge it a bit.

8. Mascara
Start from the lids and work your way out, do it a way to prevent clumps and try to get the full natural lash look.

9. Blush
Use warm, light colors and sweep the cheeks.

10. Lips
Apply lipsticks that go well with your skin tone or clear/light pink lip-gloss
